Where's the Passion

alright...
I have been thinking about my life recently... and come to the impression that ... "man this life is boring and predictable and useless.. and starting to lose meaning...and nothing make sense... and i'm not happy or joyful.. or anything .. in fact i can be pretty apathetic at times and when i look around me i see a lot of the same things.. in a lot of people i know... although some do hide it better than othes.."
so i guess the questions are...
where along the way have we traded in love for hate,
sedentary or active, passionate for bored . . .
when have we decided that living a life style after
Jesus Christ was boring and laid back...
and how did we ever get here... into this predictable everyday existence that drains every bit of life and enjoyment out of everything we do...
we get up ... do our thing... go to work or school or whatever it is we do... we come home we eat we do homework, take care of the kids or watch t.v. or go on the internet or listen to the new.. etc etc.. and then go to bed only to wake up and do it all again....
NO WONDER WE'RE BORED... that really doesn't sound like much fun...
where did the passion that Jesus lived out in his life disappear and when did being is follower become boring and part of an everyday life????? how did everything get to this ... and how do we get back to something more...
instead of walking into any given church and seeing a bunch of bored people who are being "nice" to one another and asking how you are doing (acting interested when really all they want to do is go out for swiss chalet and then go home to do whatever it is that is part of the "christain culture" on sunday and have a nap...)
we all smile at each other and act as if we care what is going on in the other's life... where did the love go ... where did the excitment of following jesus go and why are we all walking around here not thinking about what is going on and what we could be a part of... the bigger picture.. what God sees... the passion and desires that he has instilled in us to follow after with reckless abandon and when did we get to the place where heaven didn't seem to be anything to look forward to... except and nice "forever long worship session in the sky" --- we all need to wake up and see the glory that is around us... to enjoy the earth and nature that God has given us .. to enjoy each other ... to find a renewed sense of our purpose here on this earth and most importantly ... fall in love with God ... with reckless abandon and obesession... he needs to be our magnificent obsession... and have him lead us on an adventure that is like nothing we could ever have dreamed of experiencing .. on this side of heaven ... and then beyond our wildest dreams ... on the other side...

We need to wake up from our slumber and be part of this.. all of this.. the good the bad and the ugly... and everything else in between... lets not be afraid to be let down or hurt by others... or disapointed by life... this life will disapoint and Satan is after your heart and after your soul ... he wants us all to remain in this state of lifelessness.. God may have our hearts but if he can keep up from being and doing all we can... the he has not only cloulded our view of what God has instore for his children.. but he then uses our clouded vision to give people who have not yet expereienced God a big reason not too... cause really if you were on the outside looking in... how exciting and full of promise and heart ache and enjoyement and love does everything really look to you ... we need to give ourselves and everyone else a reason to want to be apart of this thing we call christianity and following Jesus . . .

there is a point where we reach in our lives where we have to choose to do what is right or what is easy.... and coming into this adventure is anything but easy... and it may be full of waiting and disapointment and heartache and everything else that is of this world.. because we live in a world of sin.... but it is also full of life.. and of love and God and desire, joy and a loss of ourselve to the will of God .... and to his greater purpose...

"Wake up O Sleeper, rise from the dead...and Christ will shine on you"
Eph. 5:14
